Incorrect display of certain letters in certain cases

The letters å, ä and ö are sometimes displayed incorrectly in Salamander. When this happens it's also impossible to copy, move or delete the files until I rename then. The situations I've seen this in is when downloading from the web or from Outlook. The letters are long since established and have ASCII codes. They display correctly in Explorer.

Just a minor annoyance but I thought I should report it.

This is the incorrect display in Servant Salamander.

I think these are decomposed (combining) diacritics. It's another way of encoding characters with diacritic signs and Windows doesn't automatically convert it for Salamander. Windows doesn't tend to create these, but for example macOS does, I think.

I don't know of any good solution. A good workaround could be a script that renames files using the other convention.

Ahh... a little script. Could try that. Thanks :)
