It's a funny thing, but I never miss a tree view inside Salamander. I think trees work better with mouse, but dual-pane navigation works much better with a kbd. That said, I've been doing it that way for 20-odd years now, so old habits die hard
Effectively, I do this at the moment: F3 -> End -> Esc -> F3 -> End -> Esc.... Actually, all that you need to do is move somewhere else in the file and then again to the end. (So instead of Esc, F3, End , you can do Home, End , or PageUp, PageDown as I like to do). Other than that, I'd like the scr...
As a feature request, I would like to have some sort of tail functionality built into the internal text viewer plugin. i.e. F3 -> <enable tail> -> file tracks automatically. Effectively, I do this at the moment: F3 -> End -> Esc -> F3 -> End -> Esc.... Also, the files I'm viewing are large trace fil...
To reproduce: Using the 7z plugin, create an archive containing a single file. Select encrypt, enter a 30 char password, create archive. Use integrity check to confirm that it can decrypt ok. Now repeat with a 31 char password. Note the CRC error when trying to extract / test the archive. Any ideas?
I've been having a little fish today and it looks like there might be a simple solution available for the short term. There's a special folder called "sysnative" provides access to the 64 bit system32 folder, even from a 32 bit process. Unfortunately, this folder isn't visible from AS, al...

I thought I'd give this thread a gentle nudge before it gets to its 3rd birthday :( We've now migrated virtually every server in our infrastructure to x86_64. About 1/3 of our desktops are now 64bit and the other 2/3 will be rapidly moving away from 32 bit computing. Yet, here we all are, still on a...
Mathematically it's impossible to have your data "always safe". 8) Ok, I agree here. All I would say is that in several years of using Salamander, it has never yet screwed up any file that I have copied or moved using it. I use it routinely within my production environment (in fact, it's ...
Would you mind if PictView and WinSCP plugin will not be included in the x64 version of Salamander? Both plugins are implemented in compilers that doesn't support x64 platform. I have two separate and disttinct uses for AS: 1. Work - 64 bit native version would be useful, PictView not needed but Wi...
