Re: WebP support in PictView
Windows Defender shields me from the download by default, saying that it contains a threat: Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml

Sure. But that's only for existing users who know about (and read) this forum!

Re: JSON Viewer Plugin
Looks like the plugin does not work for Altap Salamander 4.0. I get this error when I try to add the plugin: Unable to load plugin (<path>\plugins\jsonviewer\jsonviewer.spl) or some of its components. Error: (1400) Invalid window handle. See plugin details in menu Plugins / Plugins Manager. Is there...

Re: Can viewer open a CSV file with extension ".log"?
Sure. Just configure the extension and its viewer in Options -> Configuration -> Viewers and Editors -> Viewers.

Re: Crash on viewing a file
I think this fix should be more prominent. All users (including new ones, now that Salamander is free) are downloading and using a version that is known to be broken!

Compare Files vertically, dual monitor
I have two equal monitors placed 'landscape' next to each other, on which I use Compare Files regularly. I would like it to have an option to easily position the File Comparator window such that each file is on its own monitor, maximizing screen space. Currently this takes some effort because...

User menu and Percent signs
Executing a user menu command (that uses Execute through shell ) on some files did not work. Nothing happened... :( It turns out this is caused by a filename containing a percent character ( % ). Salamander just replaces $(FullName) by the filename and puts that in the batch file it executes. But CM...

Re: Compare is not detecting upper and lower case.
I'm aware that NTFS is case sensitive and there is an API to use that feature. But Windows is case insensitive in nature: the Win32 API by default and the shell, both CMD and Explorer. So I can understand that Salamander does what Windows users expect: compare filenames without regard to case. Even ...

Re: Compare is not detecting upper and lower case.
I'm sorry but tukanos is incorrect. When comparing file contents, one can choose to include case. Filename comparisons are case INsensitive due to the nature of Windows.
A workaround could be saving the filenames into files (say via Ctrl+Shift+F6) and comparing those.

Re: Shift+click to expand Text Viewer selection
We have supported Shift+click to extend selection in internal viewer in text mode. We have also supported Shift+arrows, End, Home, Ctrl+Home, and Ctrl+End to extend selection. Thanks, I'm looking forward to it. Hint: You can also scroll the view using keyboard while dragging a block with left mouse...

Re: Shift+click to expand Text Viewer selection
Show caret would indeed help before Shift+Ctrl+End etc. But Shift+click would be nice regardless.

Re: File list export from Find Files & Directories
Sure, that is actually a great idea as it's not trivial... press F9 choose Customize... click somewhere in the white Menu Contents area press Insert to add a new entry type Copy properties as its name and press Enter at Command , type setlocal at Arguments , paste this: ENABLEDELAYEDEXPANSION&(i...

No retry copying via ADB
I tried using the Android ADB Plugin via the wonderful TCproxy Plugin. I can copy files from and to my smartwatch where Explorer does not see the device. So that's great! I noticed one minor thing. While copying files to my local drive, I got this error: 2016-02-25_12-07-38.png The error is expected...

Re: Required file not found in the archive.
The TAR Plugin always reports the size as 0 bytes. I'm afraid this is due to the nature of the gzip format where finding out the size almost requires decompression...
And sure the issue is that the content is zero bytes. But there is no reason to trip over that.
