This has been discussed many times already. If you switch your device to Mass Storage mode (may not be possible with latest stock Android versions), it will work with Salamander just fine. Salamander does not have support for MTP mode at this moment unfortunately.

Can you, please, check if you don't have an exported configuration file present in your salamander install directory? Maybe it is there and is not readable. Citing the help: "If you save the configuration to a file named config.reg and place this file to installation directory (near salamand.ex...

Předpokládám, že starý foťák měl podporu pro "mass storage" mód přístupu. U nových zařízení se dost často používá MTP - media transfer protocol. MTP není v AS momentálně podporováno.
Zkuste se podívat, jestli u nových zařízení nejde typ připojení přepnout na mass storage.

Simple google search returns e.g. this: http://tutznet.com/enable-mass-storage- ... xy-s3.html. But you need to have your phone rooted. If you don't want to do that, you will have to wait till Salamander supports MTP protocol.
